Caranx ignobilis
speciesBASICThe giant kingfish or ulua, the largest fish in the genus Caranx, distributed throughout the tropical Indo-Pacific from South Africa to Hawaii. Juveniles tolerate very low salinity in coastal lakes and river mouths.
HABITAT
Juveniles in estuaries, bays, and lagoons; adults on deeper reefs, atolls, and embayments.
SIZE
up to 170 cm (67 in) and 80 kg (176 lb)
